IF you listen quietly, you will hear the muttering of the older folk saying “these youngsters, you wait, all this rubbish will come to an end”. What they are referring to specifically, is what they see as all of the here today, gone tomorrow social networking and “let’s make friends online because we have been so dehumanized by all of these anti-social sites that we can not do it in person” type sites.
They have a point. Surely the good old days of children kicking a football around the park on a Sunday afternoon is better than the goggle eyed computer geeks of today.
So when will the final downfall of these anti-social sites happen? The answer is probably when the central government legislate against them as no self respecting teenager is ever going to ostracize themselves from the rest of their generation by speaking out.
It is extremely ironic that unless you are acting in an anti-social way and spend most of your free time on social networking sites, you are judged to be anti-social. Whilst your friends are discussing the latest group of degenerates they met online the previous night, unless you can contribute by telling scary stories of your own, you have nothing to say that anyone wants to here
The world is truly going to hell and nothing can stop it. Morals, behavior, human traits are all changing and thanks to the internet.
